(fine pitch) exhaust manifold / flange nuts. The nut head size is 14mm (requires a 14mm wrench or socket).  The nuts feature a self-locking design, so when they are fastened to a stud by hand, they will stop when they reach the "locking" portion.  You will then need a 14mm wrench or socket to fasten it further, at which point it will "lock" in place.  Self-locking nuts are especially useful for exhaust systems, where vibrations could cause regular, non-locking nuts to gradually loosen and come off.  These nuts are premium quality, high strength and temperature resistant for exhaust system applications, including the exhaust manifold and exhaust flange pipe.   The nuts are a yellow zinc dichromate finish.

Applications & Tech Notes:
This is a popular size for most Toyota vehicles, especially the Pick-up trucks, as well as some other Asian vehicles such as Honda, Isuzu, Subaru, etc.  However, many Acura, Honda, and Nissan exhaust manifolds require an M8x1.25 nut size rather than a M10x1.25.  Note, the exhaust pipe flange may require 10mm nuts.  If you are uncertain what size you need, feel free to ask us before you purchase.  If you need the 8mm version, we have those available as well (price is the same as for the 10mm). You can usually determine what size you need by checking the hex size of the nut.  If a 12mm or 13mm socket / wrench fits the nut, most likely you have 8mm nuts.  If the nut requires a 14mm socket/wrench,
then likely you have 10mm nuts. It is important to verify the thread pitch as well.  Some vehicles, such as Mazda and Volvo, may have a coarser M10x1.5 thread pitch, in which case these M10x1.25 nuts will not work for those applications.
