I Purchased a heavily modified 96' Dodge Ram 3500 with 199k miles on it from the dealer trade in Manheim auctions in Oceanside. I had returned it to as stock as possible for resale. The truck was mint and pretty well taken care of. This truck had everything done to it EXCEPT fuel mods/bigger turbo.
Everything was functioning per normal EXCEPT the exhaust brake setup. After the purchase, I got under the truck and noticed the vacuum powered actuator that goes on the transmission housing was broken. Refer to Picture #10 where I am pointing toward the component with my gloves on. I have no contact with the prior owner so I cannot ask details. I truly believe this setup was working prior to that piece breaking due to the condition of the truck, motor, and everything else. Again, I cannot verify 100% but BD offers replacement components on everything.
I did notice the rear vacuum fitting on the exhaust brake itself has to be changed out.
It looks to be 100% complete as far as components goes. I ran through the truck and couldn't find any other items related to this install other than air lines. What you see is what you will be receiving. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask me. I am not a Dodge Ram master, but I am mechanically inclined with prior knowledge of 12v and 24v 2nd Gens.
The towloc & switch worked like a charm. Electronics are ready to rock.
I can offer a warranty on the TowLoc/Switch mechanism.
