A page at the front of the book has the following:  THE  TOWN OF EDENTON AND CHOWAN COUNTY 1850 CENSUS.  Chowan County is located in northeastern North Carolina.  Soft cover, census plus a 26 page index - printed on only ONE side of the paper.
This book comes from a private collection.  The book shows wear, soiling, and fading from age and use.  Name of former owner stamped on back of cover and price is written in ink on back of cover as well.  Otherwise,  the interior is in very good condition with no other apparent markings.  Book is only printed on ONE side of the paper.  Comb binding is complete with no loose pages.  This is a USED book and sold AS IS.
