The Le Mans name first appeared in 1961 on GM's new compact Y-body platform as a upscale trim package. By 1969, the name had been plastered on Pontiac's formidable mid-size sedans, coupes, convertibles and wagons. Available with GM's durable 350cid V8, the engine produced a solid 265hp in 2bbl trim.
Just in time for summer drop top cruising-this 68 is up for worldwide consideration. The 1968 400 Example here is finished in Red over a Red interior with a white power convertible top. This example is very solid and the doors shut like a vault. The bucket seats and carpets are in good condition with rips or tares. The Chrome is in good condition and polishes to a shine. The car rides on the original wheels with center caps and remain in good condition as well. The 400 V8 fires right up and idles with ease and the automatic transmission shifts smooth and was rebuilt 10 years ago. The car also has power brakes and power steering.
