Antique handmade,Trade Bead necklace Turquoise, Bauxite,glass beads brass-alloy

If I had to name this necklace, I'd call it "Earth and Sky". At its center are three vintage, hand-made, turquoise disks and four, old, African hand- made powder-glass beads, ( a pale blue-green) interrupted by six contemporary brass alloy, twig-like "sticks". The remainder of the necklace is made up of very nice vintage Bauxite faceted cylinders, separated by lovely Krobo sand cast eye beads. 21 inches long.
I use ancient, antique, trade, vintage and even on occasion, new beads. I arrange them into interesting, original patterns to make one-of-a-kind necklaces that have a classic feel. Some old beads have imperfections; to me, that's part of their character, their history. They are, after all,artifacts;
connections
to our past.
