ANTIQUE Thai Silver With Niello Feat. Deva, Hanuman FW MARGRETT CIGG/CARD CASE

ANTIQUE Thai Silver decorative card, and/or cigarette case, With Niello. Engravings of hanuman and a deva (?) are composed within the case’s niello on silver. FW MARGRETT moved his silversmith enterprises to Bangkok and Singapore (eventually he would have a business claim in Hong Kong a few years after this was made. It’s likely ca. 1910-1920. It weighs 107+g, as seen on the scale in photos. Also any photos that include a single penny were done so, in hopes it would be a simple, effective scale. There are many fine surface scratches, but it has not been polished in more years than I’ve had it, so some patina is there. Hinge and Latch(es) are in GREAT SHAPE.
