Old firefighters , brass helmet.
Part of the equipment of the Bulgarian Fire Service in the 1950s.
At that time, socialist Bulgaria was armed and equipped entirely in Soviet standards and Soviet equipment.
This helmet has a history of how it came to me. My father-in-law is a retired officer of the Bulgarian Army and in 1970 he took part in the relocation of the fire service in the city of Varna in a new and modernized building. He found this one and two more helmets buried and dumped beneath piles of waste.
Therefore, the helmets are not in a perfect condition, but they have been used by real firefighters in real life-saving operations, and perhaps these extensions are a consequence of the daily dangerous situations in their profession.
