cairns leather fire helmet

Up for sale is a 90's era cairns leather fire helmet size small/medium. The helmet was recently restored and due to the restoration process it lost the detailed scroll work on the brim. The helmet had exposed brim wire and has been gone over heavily with filler so this item will NOT be fit for a natural finish restoration project. I did use this helmet until recently and have loved this helmet ever since I bought it. This helmet saw work in both the volunteer and career side of firefighting and served me well. I am happy to see it go to someone who is collecting or has other plans.
To the buyer, if you are buying this helmet, you will assume all risk to your health, safety and wellness as this helmet is way outside of its use period. I cannot condone the use of this helmet for active fire service use however I cannot control what you do with it once you take delivery. I will not be responsible for any bodily injury after the sale is finalized. Completing the sale of this helmet releases the seller from any and all liability.
