Ethnic Design Necklace: African Hammered Lizard Pendant, Turquoise Beads, 23"

Description

I am listing an ethnic design necklace that I created, made with a vintage hammered brass pendant (probably from the Gan in Burkina Faso), strung with nice turquoise beads with a dark matrix in them that pick up the colors of the patinaed metal. The pendant shows the front half, head and legs of a lizard was well as showing a wonderful hammered line and half circle design. The patina seems very old and looks like it might have been buried in the past.
Pendant: Hollow so it is not heavy; 3 1/2” L x 4 1/2” W. Necklace:
23” around. Brass spacer beads; gold filled toggle clasp.
