ABOUT:
Prettily detailed antique solid silver chatelaine vesta, with a lovely thistle pattern with flowers and leaves. Sturdy hand feel, with strong spring loaded hinge.  This is an antique piece from the Art Nouveau period that I acquired in France.
NO MONOGRAMS
Measures 2" by 1 3/8" it weighs 19 grams.
HALLMARKS:
Stamped 800 on the inside rim, also has the French weevil hallmark.  There are some additional hallmark I could not identify.
CONDITION DETAILS:
In estate condition considering age.  Really strong snap to the hinge so it closes snugly, although sometimes a tiny gap at the seam.  A bit of wear to the raised patterns.  A few nicks.
Surface wear from use and scratches throughout and some stubborn tarnish, especially on the inside. I don't see any deep dents surprisingly. It opens smoothly with tension and closes with a loud snap. Sturdy hand feel.
